June brings exciting advancements in both technology and strategic expansion across the network. BC Marine Terminals congratulates DP World on launching a diesel-electric hybrid rubber-tired gantry (RTG) crane at the Prince Rupert terminal, an innovation that cuts fuel consumption by over 60%. Further south, the association welcomes Brandon Tang as the new Director of Marine Logistics at Neptune Terminals in North Vancouver. Additionally, the federal Impact Assessment Agency has opened a public comment period for Trigon’s proposed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage and export facility, marking another significant step in diversifying Canada’s energy export capabilities.
